Event Production Design | Art Installation

While collaborating with Kathleen Deery Design in Emeryville, CA, a highlight of my role was contributing to the design and creation of five large-scale art installations for a wedding stage backdrop. Each wooden panel, measuring 4 feet by 8 feet, was meticulously crafted by applying hundreds of small dots with builder's foam to create a unique, textured pattern. These dots were arranged to mirror the natural wind patterns surrounding the wedding venue in Sonoma, CA. Once the textured pattern was complete, the panels were painted white and hung side by side, with display lighting strategically positioned to accentuate shadow and depth. The resulting design offered a simple yet abstract aesthetic that harmonized with the venue, creating a visually captivating backdrop. This event deepened my design skills and offered valuable experience in the complexities of event production design.
